Job summary

Tennessee Donor Services, a designated organ procurement organization, seeks an Organ Recovery Coordinator in the Tri-Cities area. You will use your RN background in critical care to oversee organ donation, collaborate with clinical teams, and expedite procurement and transfer of organs for transplant.

The role emphasizes autonomy, coordination with surgeons, and support for donor families. A current RN license and ability to pass hospital requirements are essential.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• 2+ years in a critical care setting preferred.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consulting with medical staff.
• Coordinates organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
• Coordinates and assists in the surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management.
• Provides support to donor families and conducts medical/social history interviews.
• Other duties as assigned.
