Job summary

Tennessee Donor Services is seeking a skilled Organ Recovery Coordinator in Chattanooga. Using an ICU nursing background, you will oversee organ donation processes, coordinate placement with transplant teams, and assist in surgical recovery.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years ICU/critical care experience, an RN license, strong multitasking and communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to handle a 14 12-hour call cycle. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Two plus years prior experience in a critical care setting.
• Registered Nursing (RN) license.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and multitask.
• Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements.
• COVID-19 vaccination or proof of vaccination may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consulting with staff.
• Coordinates organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
• Coordinates and assists in the surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management.
• Provides support to donor families and conducts medical/social history interviews.
• Other duties as assigned.
