Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a Clinical Donation Associate to respond to organ donation referrals on site across our service area (Brevard, Flagler, Indian River, Lake, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia counties). You will conduct initial suitability screening and coordinate with ICU teams.

This full-time day shift involves rounds on referrals, supporting the Organ Procurement Coordinator, coordinating huddles, and communicating donation plans to hospital and OPO

Responsibilities

• Respond on site to organ donation referrals within our service area.
• Respond to donor referrals promptly and perform initial suitability screening.
• Rounds on referrals and manage relationships with ICU physicians and nurses.
• Assist the Organ Procurement Coordinator and team leader with referral-related activities.
• Coordinate donation huddles to communicate donation action plans. Evaluate patients for organ and tissue donation suitability.
• Communicate donation plans to hospital and OPO staff.
