Job summary

Gift of Hope coordinates the allocation of organs from deceased donors through the national system and assists in machine perfusion of deceased donor kidneys. The role includes a 12-hour on-call rotation and collaboration with transplant centers to ensure compliant organ distribution.

Candidates should have a health sciences degree or certification and 2+ years of related clinical experience, with strong lab interpretation and sterile technique skills, plus basic computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting lab values and understanding medical terminology.
• Experience maintaining sterile technique in a clinical setting.
• Proficient with basic computer systems and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate organ allocation during a 12-hour on-call rotation.
• Communicate with transplant centers and document organ disposition.
• Use DonorNet to disseminate donor information and record allocation in the EMR.
