WD is shaping the data economy with scalable storage systems and AI-driven workforce transformation. The Organization Architect Lead translates design principles into tools and standards for HR partners and leaders, sitting below the Director of Organizational Development.

This high-visibility IC role drives enterprise-wide org design, workforce planning, and AI adoption, partnering with senior leaders to ensure data informs decisions and scalable practices across WD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in organizational design, workforce planning, or organizational development in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience leading or executing org design projects — including spans of control analysis, role clarification, and team restructuring.
• Proven ability to build and operationalize frameworks, tools, and playbooks that others can apply consistently.
• Strong analytical skills applied to workforce data: interpret headcount, attrition, and capability data into structured recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise workforce planning models identifying talent gaps, capability needs, and structural risks.
• Partner with HRBPs and finance to align headcount with strategy, growth projections, and priorities.
• Build reporting mechanisms for senior leaders showing workforce composition, readiness, and risk.
• Support org design engagements — restructuring teams, clarifying accountabilities, optimizing spans of control.
• Develop standardized org design tools, templates, and decision frameworks for WD.
• Analyze organizational health indicators and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Operationalize AI adoption practices within OD — assessment frameworks, playbooks, and guides.
• Assess workforce implications of AI-driven changes and role evolution with HR leadership.
• Document AI-related org design learnings at scale across the enterprise.
• Facilitate training and coaching to build org design capability in HR and leaders.
• Advise on organizational effectiveness challenges with structured diagnoses and practical recommendations.
• Coordinate with Workforce Analytics to ensure data informs design decisions and planning models.
