Job summary

KBR is seeking an Ordnance Mechanic to service and repair the Ordnance family of vehicles, including LAV, AAV, M1A1, AVLB and Towed Artillery. The role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing diesel-powered systems and related subsystems, with guidance to junior staff. Certified training and strong diagnostic abilities are essential.

The position requires U.S. citizenship, passing a government background check, and obtaining a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Must pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Four years of directly related work experience.
• Complete the Light Armored Vehicle Repairman Course; or equivalent.
• Knowledge of engines, hydraulic systems, transmission, and related parts.
• Ability to read parts lists, manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to detect faults and determine repair methods.
• Ability to assemble, disassemble, repair, or modify components and systems.
• Familiar with test and diagnostic equipment and proper tool use.
