Job summary

KBR's Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) seeks an Ordnance Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair diesel-powered Ordnance vehicles (LAV, AAV, M1A1, AVLB, tow artillery). You will mentor junior mechanics and support higher-level technicians as needed.

The role requires a Secret clearance, a high school diploma, and 4+ years of related work experience, with strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems. Perks include competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Background check and Secret Clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Four years of directly related work experience.
• Light Armored Vehicle Repairman Course or equivalent.
• Knowledge of engines, hydraulics, transmission and related systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults and determine repair methods.
• Ability to read parts lists, manuals and diagrams.
• Understanding of hull, suspension, engine, transmission, turret and sub-systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic automotive mechanic duties on Ordnance family of vehicles.
• Provides guidance to lower level mechanics.
• Assists higher level mechanics and performs tasks as assigned.
