Job summary

KBR is seeking an Ordnance Mechanic for the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program. You will perform basic automotive mechanic duties on Ordnance vehicle families (LAV, AAV, M1A1, AVLB, Towed Artillery), including inspection, maintenance, and repair.

Applicants must have a high school diploma, four years of related work experience, and be eligible for a Secret clearance as a U.S. citizen. Completion of Light Armored Vehicle Repairman Course or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of engines, hydraulics, and transmissions.
• Ability to read and interpret parts lists, manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Must be able to detect faults, diagnose causes, and determine repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of Ordnance family vehicles.
• Provide technical assistance and training to lower level mechanics.
• Operate and utilize diagnostic and test equipment to complete repairs.
