KBR is seeking a Shipboard Equipment Mechanic (Armored Vehicle) to support the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program. The role covers maintenance on diesel-powered LAV, AAV, M1A1, AVLB, and towed artillery systems aboard ships and ashore.

The candidate must have a high school diploma, 4 years of related experience, and the Light Armored Vehicle Repairman Course or equivalent, with the ability to read manuals and schematics. U.S. citizen with passport and CAC eligibility is required.

Qualifikationen

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Four (4) years of directly related work experience.
• Complete the Light Armored Vehicle Repairman Course; or equivalent.
• Knowledge of how engines, hydraulic systems, transmission, and other parts and systems work.
• Ability to detect faulty items, determine cause of malfunction, and determine best repair methods.
• Ability to assemble, disassemble, repair, or modify components and systems.
• Ability to read and interpret parts lists, manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics.

Aufgaben

• Performs basic automotive mechanic duties incident to inspection, maintenance, and repair of the Ordnance family of vehicles.
• Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics.
