Job summary

KBR is seeking an Ordnance Mechanic to support the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program. You will perform basic automotive maintenance and repair on the Ordnance family of vehicles, including diesel-powered systems, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

You will also provide technical guidance to junior mechanics and collaborate with teams to complete tasks efficiently. A Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required for eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Clearance.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Four years of directly related work experience.
• Complete the Light Armored Vehicle Repairman Course; or equivalent.
• Knowledge of how engines, hydraulic systems, transmission, and other parts and systems work.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic automotive mechanic duties incident to inspection, maintenance, and repair of the Ordnance family of vehicles.
• Provide technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
