Job summary

Old Wisconsin Sausage in Sheboygan, WI is seeking a Warehouse Quality Verifier to ensure product quality and process compliance. This role focuses on data entry into AX, material verification, and supporting shipping and receiving operations.

You will work in a fast-paced warehouse, cross-train across Shipping and Receiving, operate an RF gun, and help maintain accurate inventory while adhering to GMP, HACCP and SQF guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years warehouse or manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and SQF guidelines.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and data interpretation.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with MS Office, AS/400 and AX.
• Forklift certification; valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into AX system.
• Unload meat trucks and verify incoming materials.
• Assist shipping with movement of goods to customers.
• Pick orders, load/unload trucks, and assist in inventory counts.
• Cross-train in Shipping and Receiving; work in Receiving as needed.
• Operate RF gun and warehouse management tools.
• Maintain safety and food quality per GMP/HACCP/SQF; report issues.
• Work overtime during peak production periods.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for verification of product quality, workmanship, and other factors above standard quality. Provides feedback to Line Leaders and Assistant Reviewer of discrepancies and makes recommendations for corrections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Enter data into AX system.
• Unload meat trucks at multiple locations.
• Verifies incoming materials.
• Assists the shipping department with the movement of finished packaged goods to the customer/ consumer.
• Pick orders, loads/ unloads trucks, rotate product and participate in inventory counting.
• Expected to be cross-trained in all areas of Shipping and Receiving department; work in Receiving as needed.
• Basic computer knowledge in MS Office products as well as AS/400 required.
• Will be required to work in Warehouse Management System, including a RF gun used to track levels of inventory.
• Overtime may be frequent during peak production periods.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Takes responsibility of work area to produce a safe and quality food product. Reports all food safety related problems to manager and to the QA department in order to initiate immediate action.

Qualifications: Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, Etc.

• Required education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma;
• Requires 1-3 years of warehouse or manufacturing experience.
• Requires a basic understanding of GMP's, HACCP and SQF guidelines.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent along with ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact will all levels of the organizations.
• Requires a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Requires a strong knowledge of AS 400 and AX software.
• Must be certified in forklift operation. Ability to use other industrial equipment as needed.
• Requires a valid Driver's License with a good driving record. CDL Classifications preferred.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Must be able to stand/ walk for 8-9 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to bend, twist, stoop and squat, reach above shoulders as needed for day to day responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties.
• Must have good hand and eye coordination.
• Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less.
• Must be able to work overtime, during peak production periods.
