Job summary

Old Wisconsin Sausage in Wisconsin is seeking a Warehouse/Receiving associate to verify product quality, unload meat trucks, and assist in shipping finished goods. You will handle data entry in AX, operate the RF gun, and participate in inventory counts within a fast-paced production environment.

The role requires 1–3 years of warehouse experience, basic MS Office and AS/400 knowledge, forklift certification, and a valid driver's license. Overtime may be common during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Required education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma.
• Requires 1-3 years of warehouse or manufacturing experience.
• Requires a basic understanding of GMP’s, HACCP and SQF guidelines.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent along with ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Requires a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Requires a strong knowledge of AS 400 and AX software.
• Must be certified in forklift operation. Ability to use other industrial equipment as needed.
• Requires a valid Driver's License with a good driving record. CDL Classifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Basic computer knowledge in MS Office products as well as AS/400 required.
• Will be required to work in Warehouse Management System, including a RF gun used to track levels of inventory.

• Other duties as assigned.
• Takes responsibility of work area to produce a safe and quality food product.
• Reports all food safety related problems to manager and to the QA department in order to initiate immediate action.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Must be able to stand/ walk for 8-9 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to bend, twist, stoop and squat, reach above shoulders as needed for day to day responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties.
• Must have good hand and eye coordination.
• Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less.
• Must be able to work overtime, during peak production periods.
