Aston Carter in Chicago, IL seeks a Customer Order Specialist to ensure accurate and timely support, including training sessions, quotes, and handling non-stock and emergency orders.

You will monitor order status, communicate project updates, resolve financial discrepancies, and maintain records while expediting orders and handling SMAA/SQAD documents in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in customer service or order management.
• Proficiency with order tracking and inventory management.
• Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing system training sessions with the team.
• Prepare and provide customer quotes.
• Process non-stock orders within 48 hours and handle all emergency orders.
• Monitor and update order status, ensuring past due orders are completed daily.
• Perform daily sourcing activities.
• Communicate upcoming projects to the team.
• Resolve accounts payable and accounts receivable issues.
• Request and process order revisions.
• Review open orders regularly.
• Expedite material and ensure timely customer inquiry responses.
• Track orders and maintain accurate records.
• Complete and manage SMAA forms, providing alternate materials for discontinued items.
• Fulfill SQAD requirements by obtaining necessary documents from customers.
