Job summary

The Customer Service Representative at Brenntag is dedicated to delivering a positive customer experience through precise order processing and timely communication, spanning the full order lifecycle including changes and fulfillment coordination.

You will verify shipping and billing details, update pricing and delivery instructions, and collaborate with sales, internal teams, and customers to resolve issues while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Customer Service or similar discipline.
• Chemical Distribution or Manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong listening, speaking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Efficient and accurate order placement, confirmation via phone, email or EDI and timely communication regarding changes.
• Verify shipping, billing, pricing, and purchase order information.
• Enter special instructions, customer requests, and notes.
• Update customer files with pricing, items, and delivery instructions.
• Support sales staff in the field and communicate with customers regularly.
• Operate as a team member on data entry and order intake.
• Audit purchase orders for pricing, terms, and eta; ensure compliance with policies.
• Document and resolve customer complaints.
• Process returns per procedures and maintain safety and regulatory compliance.
