Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is seeking a Customer Service Specialist in Marshall, MN to manage the end-to-end order fulfillment, serve as the primary contact for inquiries, and partner with Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to meet delivery promises. You will analyze service metrics and drive improvements while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, effective communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in customer service, customer support, or process improvement role.
• Experience in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or supply chain industry preferred.
• Results-driven with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate effectively, and deliver excellent customer service.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook); SAP experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end order fulfillment process, ensuring accurate order entry, billing, and on-time delivery.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for order inquiries, inventory availability, and service-related issues.
• Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Transportation teams to resolve fulfillment challenges and meet customer expectations.
• Monitor inventory, demand, and customer requirements to proactively identify risks and implement solutions.
• Analyze service metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement in customer service and order management performance.
• Communicate product availability, inventory constraints, and service updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, elevate critical issues as needed, and support initiatives that enhance service, efficiency, and cost performance.
