Job summary

Chicago Dental Implants, Oral & Facial Surgery in Joliet, IL, seeks a compassionate Oral Surgery Assistant for a full-time position. You will support surgeons during implants, extractions, and bone grafts in a fast-paced, technology-driven practice.

You will prepare rooms and equipment, manage patient histories, and capture radiographs. Expect travel across four locations with a strong focus on safety, patient care, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Oral surgery experience preferred; willing to train exceptional candidates.
• Dental Assistant certification required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work calmly with surgical patients.
• Experience monitoring IV sedation is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the oral surgeon during procedures including implant placement and extractions.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical equipment.
• Review and update patient histories and records.
• Take digital radiographs and CBCT scans.
• Monitor and support patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Provide post-op instructions and patient education.
• Maintain OSHA/infection control/sterilization standards.
• Sterilize instruments and restock operatories.
• Support daily clinical operations and patient care.
• Travel between Joliet, Plainfield, Orland Park, Downers Grove.

We specialize in dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, and a full range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures in a modern, technology-driven environment.

Schedule

• Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Occasional Saturday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Support efficient daily clinical operations and outstanding patient care
• Travel between all four practice locations:
  • Joliet
  • Plainfield
  • Orland Park
  • Downers Grove

• Current CPR/BLS certification
