Job summary

CDI Oral & Facial Surgery in Joliet, IL is seeking an Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team. You will support surgeons during dental implant placements, extractions, bone grafts and other maxillofacial procedures in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has prior dental assisting experience, current certification, CPR/BLS, strong communication, and the ability to travel between Joliet, Plainfield, Orland Park and Downers Grove.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience required.
• Current Dental Assistant certification where applicable.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Willingness to travel between locations (Joliet, Plainfield, Orland Park, Downers Grove).
• Ability to work calmly and professionally with surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the oral surgeon during procedures including dental implant placement.
• Surgical extractions
• Wisdom teeth removal
• Bone grafting procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and surgical equipment
• Review and update patient medical histories and records
• Take digital radiographs and CBCT scans
• Monitor and support patients before, during and after treatment
• Provide post operative instructions and patient education
• Maintain OSHA infection control and sterilization standards
• Sterilize instruments and restock operatories
• Support efficient daily clinical operations and outstanding patient care
• Travel between all four practice locations Joliet, Plainfield, Orland Park, Downers Grove
