Job summary

DOCS Dental on Army and Air Force bases nationwide seeks a part-time Oral Surgeon to deliver a wide range of dentoalveolar procedures in modern, fully digital clinics. You will provide in-office sedation where credentialed and collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

The role offers clinicians a supportive, mission-driven environment, malpractice coverage, and flexible scheduling with 1–2 Saturdays per month, plus base access in a rewarding setting serving

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS Certification is required.
• DMD or DDS from an accredited U.S. dental program.
• Completed Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency and board certification or eligibility.
• Active, unrestricted state dental license.
• DEA license if performing sedation or prescribing medication.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide scope of surgical procedures including extractions and dentoalveolar surgeries.
• Provide in-office sedation as credentialed and permitted by state.
• Collaborate with general dentists and dental assistants for safe, efficient patient care.
• Document findings and treatment plans in digital patient charts.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Your Role As a Part-Time Oral Surgeon

• Perform a wide scope of surgical procedures including extractions (routine and surgical), alveoloplasty, and other dentoalveolar surgeries
• Provide in-office sedation (as credentialed and permitted by state license per office)
• Collaborate with general dentists and dental assistants to ensure safe and efficient patient care
• Document clinical findings and treatment plans in digital patient charts
• Follow proper infection control protocols and safety procedures
• Maintain a high standard of care and professionalism in a fast-paced clinical setting

Requirements

• DMD or DDS from an accredited U.S. dental program
• Completed Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency and board certification or eligibility
• Active, unrestricted state dental license
• CPR/BLS Certification
• DEA license (if performing sedation or prescribing medication)
• Ability to pass background screening, drug testing, and obtain Real ID for base access
