Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of medical office experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security guidelines.
• Experience with EHR and practice management software beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appearance, cleanliness and stock in exam and procedure rooms.
• Sterilize instruments and prepare rooms per infection control protocols.
• Instruct patients regarding preparation for tests and procedures.
• Communicate biopsy results and treatment plans clearly to patients.
• Assist physician with biopsies and CO2 laser ablation, prepare trays and document sites.
• Take baseline vital signs and patient history.
• Review new patient charts prepared by front desk.
• Answer incoming calls, assist with callbacks and prescriptions under RN/MD direction.
• Greet patients and escort to clinical areas.
• Manage EHR desktop and alerts/flags.
• Provide discharge instructions and reviews with patients.
• Assist other clinical team members with patient care activities.
