Ohio-Ent- is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our Oral Pathology team in Westerville. The role blends administrative and clinical duties to support patient flow, document procedures, and communicate biopsy results. Formación

• At least 1 year experience in a medical office environment.
• Dental office experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Knowledge of GE-Centricity practice management software and EHR beneficial.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
• Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.
• Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.
• Must know sterile technique.
• Adheres to all HIPAA privacy and security regulations and guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain general appearance, cleanliness and stock in examination rooms, procedure rooms, and instrument processing room.
• Clean and sterilize medical instruments and examination rooms according to infection control protocols, restock supplies and prepare rooms for a safe, clean and organized environment.
• Instruct patients regarding preparation for certain diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Communicate biopsy results to patients with explanations and treatment plans; provide support.
• Assist physician in biopsies and laser ablation by preparing trays and aiding with retraction; document treatment sites.
• Take baseline vital signs and patient history.
• Evaluate new patient charts prepared by front desk.
• Answer incoming calls; assist in callbacks and prescribe when directed by RN/MD.
• Greet patients and escort to clinical areas; manage EHR alerts.
• Provide discharge instructions/education and review handouts.
• Assist other clinical team members with patient care activities.
