Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation seeks an experienced Oracle DBA for a full-time role in Phoenix, AZ. You will administer and support Oracle database environments across 11g/12c/19c/21c, manage GoldenGate replication, Exadata infrastructure, RAC/ASM/Data Guard, and RMAN-based backups.

The position requires 24x7 on-call readiness and collaboration with apps, infra, and cloud teams. Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning (AWR/ASH), and Linux/Unix expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Oracle DB Admin experience: 10+ years.
• Experience with GoldenGate installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Exadata administration, monitoring, and patching.
• Experience with RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
• RMAN backup and recovery expertise.
• Familiarity with OEM for monitoring and management.
• Performance tuning using AWR/ASH/ADDM.
• Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.

Job description

Cognizant is seeking an Oracle DBA for a full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support Oracle Database environments (11g/12c/19c/21c).

• Manage and maintain Oracle GoldenGate replication (Uni-directional and Bi-directional environments).

• Administer and support Oracle Exadata infrastructure and databases.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard environments.

• Perform database installation, upgrades, patching, migration, cloning, and refresh activities.

• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks using AWR, ASH, ADDM, and OEM.

• Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and perform disaster recovery testing.

• Implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions using Data Guard.

• Support production incidents, service requests, problem management, and root cause analysis.

• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams during deployments and migrations.

• Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell Scripting and Oracle utilities.

• Ensure database security, compliance, and operational best practices.

The salary range for this role is between $99,000 and $116,000 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted till 11/11/2026.
