Cognizant is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA for a full-time role in the United States. You will administer and support Oracle databases across versions, ensuring high availability and security.

The role covers GoldenGate replication, Exadata, RAC/ASM/Data Guard, RMAN backups, performance tuning, and collaboration with application/infrastructure teams. On-call responsibilities apply; strong communication is required.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
• Experience with GoldenGate installations and tuning.
• Experience with Exadata, RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
• Proficient in RMAN backups and DR testing.
• Strong troubleshooting and 24x7 on-call readiness.

Responsabilidades

• Administer, monitor, and support Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c/21c).
• Manage GoldenGate replication and bi-directional setups.
• Administer Exadata infrastructure and databases.
• Configure RAC, ASM, and Data Guard environments.
• Perform installations, upgrades, patching, migrations, cloning, and refreshes.
• Monitor performance using AWR/ASH/ADDM and OEM.
• Manage RMAN backups and DR testing.
• Implement HA and DR solutions with Data Guard.
• Support incidents, service requests, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with app, infra, and cloud teams during deployments.
• Automate DBA tasks with Shell scripting and Oracle utilities.
• Ensure security, compliance, and best practices.

Cognizant is seeking an Oracle DBA for a full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support Oracle Database environments (11g/12c/19c/21c).

• Manage and maintain Oracle GoldenGate replication (Uni-directional and Bi-directional environments).

• Administer and support Oracle Exadata infrastructure and databases.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard environments.

• Perform database installation, upgrades, patching, migration, cloning, and refresh activities.

• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks using AWR, ASH, ADDM, and OEM.

• Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and perform disaster recovery testing.

• Implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions using Data Guard.

• Support production incidents, service requests, problem management, and root cause analysis.

• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams during deployments and migrations.

• Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell Scripting and Oracle utilities.

• Ensure database security, compliance, and operational best practices.

Qualifications:

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Oracle Database Administration: 10+ years

• Oracle GoldenGate: Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting, Performance Tuning

• Oracle Exadata: Administration, Monitoring, Patching, Performance Optimization

• Oracle RAC

• Oracle ASM

• Oracle Data Guard / Active Data Guard

• RMAN Backup & Recovery

• Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)

• Performance Tuning (AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Tuning)

• Linux/Unix Administration

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Experience supporting large-scale mission-critical production environments.

• Ability to work in 24x7 support/on-call rotational model.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated environments is preferred.

The salary range for this role is between $99,000 and $116,000 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted till 11/11/2026.
