Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA for a full-time role in Kentucky. You will administer Oracle databases across 11g/12c/19c/21c, monitor performance, and support production environments in a 24x7 on-call model.

Responsibilities include GoldenGate replication, Exadata administration, RAC/ASM/Data Guard, RMAN backups, and HA/DR planning. You will collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams and automate tasks with Shell scripting.

Qualifications

• Oracle Database Administration: 10+ years.
• Oracle GoldenGate: installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
• Exadata: administration, monitoring, patching, performance optimization.
• Oracle RAC / ASM / Data Guard expertise.
• RMAN backup & recovery.
• OEM for monitoring and management.
• Linux/Unix administration.
• Performance tuning using AWR/ASH/ADDM.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience in large-scale production environments.

• Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and DR testing.
• Implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions with Data Guard.
• Support production incidents, service requests, problem management, and RCA.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams during deployments and migrations.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell Scripting and Oracle utilities.
• Ensure database security, compliance, and operational best practices.

• Manage and maintain Oracle GoldenGate replication (Uni-directional and Bi-directional environments).

• Administer and support Oracle Exadata infrastructure and databases.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard environments.

• Perform database installation, upgrades, patching, migration, cloning, and refresh activities.

• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks using AWR, ASH, ADDM, and OEM.

• Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and perform disaster recovery testing.

The salary range for this role is between $99,000 and $116,000 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted till 11/11/2026.
