Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation seeks an experienced Oracle DBA for a full-time role in Washington. You will administer and optimize Oracle databases, implement high-availability solutions, and work across data centers with production-grade reliability.

The position requires deep expertise in Oracle GoldenGate, Exadata, RAC/ASM, RMAN, OEM, and performance tuning. On-call rotations and collaboration with Infra and Cloud teams are expected to ensure smooth deployments.

Formación

• 10+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
• Expertise in GoldenGate installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Exadata administration and patching.
• Hands-on with RAC, ASM, and Data Guard deployments.
• RMAN backup, recovery, and disaster testing.
• Proficient in performance tuning using AWR/ASH/ADDM/SQL Tuning.
• Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting and ability to handle large-scale production environments.
• Willingness to work in 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Experience in banking or financial services is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Implement HA/DR solutions with Data Guard.

• Collaborate with app, infra, and cloud teams during deployments.
• Automate routine tasks using shell scripts and Oracle utilities.
• Ensure security and compliance best practices.

Cognizant is seeking an Oracle DBA for a full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support Oracle Database environments (11g/12c/19c/21c).

• Manage and maintain Oracle GoldenGate replication (Uni-directional and Bi-directional environments).

• Administer and support Oracle Exadata infrastructure and databases.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard environments.

• Perform database installation, upgrades, patching, migration, cloning, and refresh activities.

• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks using AWR, ASH, ADDM, and OEM.

• Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and perform disaster recovery testing.

• Implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions using Data Guard.

• Support production incidents, service requests, problem management, and root cause analysis.

• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams during deployments and migrations.

• Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell Scripting and Oracle utilities.

• Ensure database security, compliance, and operational best practices.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Oracle Database Administration: 10+ years

• Oracle GoldenGate: Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting, Performance Tuning

• Oracle Exadata: Administration, Monitoring, Patching, Performance Optimization

• Oracle RAC

• Oracle ASM

• Oracle Data Guard / Active Data Guard

• RMAN Backup & Recovery

• Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Experience supporting large-scale mission-critical production environments.

• Ability to work in 24x7 support/on-call rotational model.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated environments is preferred.

The salary range for this role is between $99,000 and $116,000 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted till 11/11/2026.
