Job summary

Lancesoft is seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to modernize and migrate legacy Oracle Forms applications to Oracle APEX, running on Oracle Database 19c. The role focuses on performance, security, and maintainability within Agile/Scrum teams.

Responsibilities include converting forms to APEX, developing PL/SQL components, and producing comprehensive technical documentation while collaborating with Commonwealth IT and BIT staff. Onsite in Harrisburg, PA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL development (stored procedures, functions, packages, advanced queries).
• 5–7 years building apps with Oracle APEX.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS (19c preferred).
• Experience with SQL Developer and/or TOAD.
• Experience integrating web services and data modeling principles.
• Proficient in performance tuning, debugging and testing SQL in Oracle and SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Analyze architecture, data structures, and integrations of existing Oracle Forms apps.
• Support migration of Oracle Forms-based apps to Oracle APEX.
• Design and develop modern APEX user interfaces with the technical lead.
• Establish UI/UX design standards for future APEX apps.
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and advanced queries.
• Perform data pulls, analysis, and scripting to support reporting and system enhancements.
• Review documentation to understand requirements, architecture, reporting, and functionality.
• Implement and support security, roles, and authorization in integrated Oracle systems.
• Conduct performance profiling and tuning for maintainability and responsiveness.
• Create technical, functional, and system documentation.
• Participate in all SDLC phases including requirements, coding, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to Commonwealth IT staff and other developers.
• Support production deployments and release management activities.
• Provide weekly status updates to management.
• Generate reports for executive management, end-users, and BIT staff.
