Job summary

Leverage Technologies Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to lead the migration of legacy Oracle Forms applications to Oracle APEX on Oracle Database 19c. The role focuses on PL/SQL development, performance tuning, and secure, scalable modern applications within an Agile/Scrum environment.

The ideal candidate will analyze existing systems, design modern interfaces, implement security models, and collaborate with the technical lead to deliver sustainable solutions aligned with BIT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5–7 years of Oracle PL/SQL development including stored procedures, functions, packages, and advanced queries.
• 5–7 years of Oracle APEX development.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS (Oracle 19c preferred).
• Experience using SQL Developer and TOAD.
• Understanding of data modeling principles and web services.
• Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and testing SQL queries and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand existing Oracle Forms architecture, data structures, and integrations.
• Support migration of Oracle Forms-based apps to Oracle APEX.
• Design and develop modern APEX UIs with the technical lead.
• Establish UI/UX design standards for future APEX apps.
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages.
• Perform data analysis and scripting to support reporting and system enhancements.
• Review documentation to understand requirements, architecture, reporting, and functionality.
• Implement and support security, roles, and authorization models.
• Conduct performance profiling and tuning to improve responsiveness.
• Produce technical and system documentation and reports for management.
• Participate in all SDLC phases and provide knowledge transfer to Commonwealth IT staff.
