Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Perioperative Throughput Optimization Coordinator in Pennington, NJ. This full-time role manages real-time operating room throughput, coordinating resources, rooms, staffing, and case sequencing to improve efficiency and patient flow across procedural areas.

You will work with Perioperative Leadership, Anesthesia, Surgeons, and Ancillary departments to anticipate delays, adjust plans, and optimize utilization. Requires OR scheduling experience and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• Three years of healthcare-related OR/procedural scheduling or capacity management.
• Strong understanding of perioperative workflows and OR operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, scheduling/clinical information systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procedural scheduling across campus and ORs.
• Establish staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Provide real-time oversight of daily schedules to optimize throughput.
• Lead daily operational huddles and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Onboard and support scheduling staff; guide without formal supervision.
• Collaborate with perioperative leadership, anesthesia, surgeons to remove barriers.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in throughput and access.
