Job summary

San Dimas Community Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Tech to prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each procedure, maintain the sterile field, and hand sterilized instruments to surgeons during cases. The role supports a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality care.

The position is part-time with daytime shifts, and candidates should have an ORT training background, at least 3 years in a surgical setting, and current BLS certification to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required for new hires.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing in specialty surgical areas (e.g., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure.
• Maintain sterile field during case and provide surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.
