Job summary

Montclair Hospital Medical Center in California is seeking an Operating Room Tech to assist in sterile preparation and instrument handling for surgical cases. You will maintain sterile fields and support surgeons with timely delivery of instruments.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, ORT training or on-the-job training with 3 years of surgical experience, and current BLS certification. Competitive pay and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
• Experience scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty areas (e.g., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure.
• Maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Provide surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during procedures.
