Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking an Operating Room Technician to prepare the OR and assist the surgeon in a scrub role across a variety of surgical procedures. The role reports to the Shift Supervisor/Unit Manager and works under RN supervision for patients of all ages.

Required qualifications include 2 years of ORTechnologist experience, AHA BLS for Healthcare Professionals, and CST/NBSTSA certification. This is an on-site position with weekend and on-call requirements and a wage range that reflects

Qualifications

• 2 years of OR Technologist experience in acute-care surgical settings.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) NBSTSA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Operating Room and assist the surgeon in a scrub role.
• Support RN with patient care under supervision.
• Maintain aseptic technique and patient safety in the OR.
• Obtain non-controlled medications from the medication station per protocol.
• Scrub for multiple surgery specialties and ensure instrument counts.
