Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in California seeks an Operating Room Technician to scrub for a variety of surgical procedures and assist the surgeon under RN supervision.

You will maintain aseptic technique, ensure patient safety, manage supplies, and take part in unit safety and quality programs. Requires 2 years' OR technologist experience, CST certification (NBSTSA), and BLS for Healthcare Professionals; wage offers $42.45–$52.78 per hour under the SEIU CBA.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience as an OR Technologist in an acute care surgical setting.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Professional - REQUIRED.
• CST certification by NBSTSA - REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Operating Room and assist the surgeon in a scrub role.
• Support RN in patient care and maintain aseptic technique.
• Scrub for multiple specialties (≥5): General, Vascular, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, GYN, Orthopedics, Neuro, Urology.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and privacy.
• Communicate effectively using lines of authority.
