Mental Health Association of Rochester seeks an OR Tech III to support perioperative nurses in delivering age-appropriate patient care in the operating room. You will collaborate on procedures across robotics, vascular, orthopedics, trauma, and more to help ensure safe surgical outcomes.

You will maintain a sterile environment, scrub for complex cases, and communicate effectively with team members, making necessary calls independently to support patient safety and efficient OR flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a surgical technician training program.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in a surgical tech role.
• Proficiency in scrubbing for complex cases.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role: An OR Tech III collaborates with perioperative nurses to organize and deliver age-specific patient care in the operating room, ensuring safe and effective surgical outcomes.

• Maintaining a sterile environment and supporting team efforts for patient safety.
• Communicating effectively with team members and making necessary calls independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a surgical technician training program.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience with proficiency in scrubbing for complex cases.
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, and ability to multitask and work independently.

Certifications

• Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) required.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association.
