Job summary

Alpha Home Health and Hospice is seeking an OR Tech II to collaborate with perioperative nurses, delivering patient-centered care in the operating room.

You will help maintain sterile technique, prep rooms, scrub for robotics, vascular, neurovascular, orthopedics and trauma cases, and support the team.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, OR technician training, 2–3 years of perioperative experience, and full-time evening shifts including every other weekend and holidays.

Job description

Role Overview: The OR Tech II collaborates with perioperative nurses to organize and deliver individualized, age-specific patient care, ensuring safe surgical environments and expected physiologic responses during procedures.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining sterile techniques, prepare operating rooms, scrub for various service lines including robotics, vascular, neurovascular, orthopedics, trauma, and more, and support team efforts to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, completion of an OR Technician training program, and 2-3 years of experience. Proficiency in scrubbing for multiple surgical specialties and strong communication skills are essential.

Certifications: Certified Surgical Technician and current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association.

Skills & Attributes: Ability to work independently, multitask, be flexible, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Additional Requirements: Ability to make calls and work full-time evening shifts, including every other weekend and holidays.
