Job summary

UC Health in Cincinnati is seeking a dedicated scrub technologist for our operating room. The role focuses on surgical instrument preparation, aseptic technique, and collaborative care under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical preparation of procedures and set-up of sterile instrumentation
• Assist with handling supplies/equipment and ensure proper functioning
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, families and health team members
• Assist under surgeon supervision with suctioning, retractors, wounds care, sutures, and irrigation
• Circulate for operative procedures under RN supervision
• Assist with patient transfer, dressing and post-procedure care
• Ensure safe aseptic technique throughout cases and communicate equipment needs to surgeons
• Disassemble and clean instruments and prepare case carts for cleaning and SPD
