Job summary

Cincinnati Children's Liberty LA Department Liberty Surgery is seeking a Surgical Technologist to deliver safe, efficient patient care in the operating room. You will independently scrub across surgical specialties, prepare instruments, assist with implants, and support perioperative teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited surgical technology degree, at least 2 years of experience, and current certifications; you will mentor teammates and uphold safety

Qualifications

• Associate degree in surgical technology from a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited program.
• Formal military training in surgical technology (68D, Hospital Corpsman, Surgical Services Specialist).
• Minimum 2+ years of work experience in a related surgical tech role.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient and employee safety in the surgical setting and assist in resolving safety issues.
• Independently scrub in surgical procedures across specialties.
• Prepare for procedures with instrument, implant, and supply planning and cost awareness.
• Mentor staff in equipment safety and knowledge and support perioperative teams.
• Apply anatomy, physiology and pharmacology knowledge to optimize patient care during surgery.

Education

Associate degree in surgical technology from a CAAHEP/ABHES accredited program

Formal military training in surgical technology (68D/ Hospital Corpsman / AS in Army Navy Air Force)

2+ years of related work experience in surgical technology
