Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is hiring a Surgical Technician for our Operating Room. The role involves preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile field, and scrubbing in on diverse surgical cases, including general, gynecology, urology, and plastics. Shift is day time, full-time, with 40 hours per week.

Graduates of accredited surgical technology programs or LPNs with surgical experience are welcome. CST preferred but not required; BLS mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• LPN with Surgical experience; or equivalent experience.
• BLS certification and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures and ensure sterile field.
• Scrub in on general, gynecology, urology, podiatry, and plastics cases as needed.
• Adhere to MercyOne performance standards and demonstrate mission values.
