Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Surgical Technician, CST, to prepare the operating room and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures. You may scrub in general surgery, gynecology, urology, podiatry, and plastics, depending on case needs.

The role requires graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent, with CST preferred in Iowa. LPN graduates with surgical experience may also qualify. Full-time, evenings, 10-hour shifts, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• Completion of surgical tech apprenticeship or military program.
• LPN with surgical experience acceptable; CST preferred but not required in Iowa; CST required if working in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for procedures, including instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain the sterile field during the surgical procedure.
• May perform 2nd, 3rd, or 4th scrub in multiple surgical specialties.
