Job summary

The University of Toledo is seeking a Surgical Technician for the Operating Room (OR). You will perform scrub duties during procedures under the direct supervision of the physician and circulating nurse.

Qualified candidates include graduates of an accredited surgical technician program or an LPN with OR experience; 2+ years’ OR work as a Surgical Technician. BLS required; CST preferred. Must rotate shifts and be on call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technician program or LPN with OR experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Surgical Technician in OR; CST certification preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Able to function under stress.
• Must rotate shifts, work weekends and be on call.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties during surgical procedures under direct supervision of the physician and the circulating registered nurse.
• Performs other functions as directed to assist in departmental operations.
