Job summary

Bristol Hospital Incorporated is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room team. Assist the RN, perform scrub duties, and help prepare cases while maintaining a sterile environment.

Responsibilities include instrument counts, equipment prep, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and efficient case flow. Requires CPR/BLS and accredited OR tech training.

Qualifications

• Must have successfully completed an accredited O.R. Tech program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN in surgical care and preparation of the patient.
• Perform scrub duties and maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Assist in instrument, sponge, needle/sharp counts per policy.
• Prepare equipment and supplies and ensure proper function before use.
• Collaborate with surgeon and circulating RN; ensure patient safety and privacy.
