Job summary

Care New England Health System seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist in procedures by handling instrumentation and anticipating surgeon needs while maintaining aseptic technique per AORN standards. This role requires ongoing competency maintenance and participation in quality improvement efforts, under RN direction.

Primary responsibilities include acting as scrub lead, ensuring supplies are available, and upholding customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain skills and competencies required of the Surgical Technologist position.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of service lines including use of specialized equipment.
• Serve as Primary Preceptor for the scrub role.
• Comply with customer service requirements.
• Actively participate in QA/QI programs.
• Respond to emergency situations under the direction of a RN.
• Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintain and gather supplies to perform job.
• Maintain BLS certification.
