Job Title: OR Tech III

Location: Jersey City Medical Center

Shift: Day

Pay Range: $31.41 - $38.42 per hour

Job Overview

In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age‑specific care to patients, maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensure the patient's physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Surgical Technician training program
• 2–3 years of experience
• Must have strong knowledge with skill in scrubbing the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
• Must be able to make calls, be flexible, able to multitask and work independently

Certifications and Licenses Required

• Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) required
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification (American Heart Association) required

Scheduling Requirements

• 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
• Every other weekend and holiday
• Full Time
