Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Jersey City Medical Center is seeking an OR Technician III to join the surgical team. Under the guidance of an RN and in collaboration with the surgeon, you will assist in delivering patient care before, during, and after surgery.

Requirements include high school diploma, OR tech program completion, 2–3 years experience, NBSTSA and BLS; strong scrubbing skills across service lines; excellent communication, multitasking, and ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an OR Technician training program required.
• 2–3 years of experience in OR settings preferred.
• Proficient scrubbing across robotics, vascular, neurovascular and trauma cases.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures under RN supervision.
• Scrub and prepare service lines for operations.
• Support surgeon and team before, during and after surgery.
• Demonstrate strong communication and multitasking in a fast-paced OR.
