Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of Anatomy and Physiology I or related CST courses.
• Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician or Surgical Tech certificate course preferred.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider training.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Assists with nursing care of patients in the procedural suite under RN supervision.
• Maintains aseptic technique and follows established policies and procedures.
• Familiar with instruments and equipment used in the procedural suite for specialty services.
• Prepares for scheduled and unscheduled procedures; sets up and cleans up after each case.
• Contributes to cost-effective service delivery and participates in team activities.
