Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains the operating room for surgical cases, ensuring equipment and supplies are organized and available.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments and supplies accurately and efficiently.
• Handles instruments per use instructions and ensures sterilization, inspection, and assembly.
• Performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts with the circulating nurse for patient safety.
• Assists in patient positioning, draping, and transfer during procedures.
• Maintains physician preference cards to ensure availability of supplies.
