Job summary

Infirmary Health is seeking a Surgical Aide to assist the surgical team by holding retractors and helping prepare, clean, and manage instruments and supplies in the operating room. The role operates under supervision of the Circulator RN and Scrub staff to ensure patient safety and efficiency.

Requirements include basic written and interpersonal communication skills and licensure like BLS; training may be provided through IH's Surgical Aide Trainee process or relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates written, interpersonal, and communication skills as appropriate to position
• BLS certification required or equivalent as stated in licensure/registration section

Responsibilities

• Holds retractors as directed by the surgical team
• Assists with cleaning, preparing, storing, distributing, and maintaining supplies, equipment and instruments in the operating room.
