Surgical Solutions is hiring an OR/Sterile Processing Technician for NYC/Queens. The role supports operating rooms and sterile processing, with 24/7 coverage expectations and on-site duties in Jamaica, NY. A high school diploma or GED is required, and CRCST or Surgical Technician certification is preferred with CRCST within 120 days of hire.

Vaccination is required. Salary ranges from $26.50 to $28.50 hourly, with full-time status and on-site responsibilities in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Certifications: CRCST or Certified Surgical Technician preferred (CRCST within 120 days).
• Experience: 2–5 years of face-to-face customer service.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room Support: Understand procedures and anticipate staff needs to ensure excellent service.
• Pre-Operative Setup: Confirm video and surgical equipment function; arrange monitors as per surgeon preferences.
• Intra-Operative Support: Verify proper connection and operation of equipment; address supply needs promptly.
• Post-Operative Turnover: Collect and inventory instruments for cleaning and sterilization.
• Instrument and Equipment Management: Maintain decontamination, inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization standards.
• Professional Conduct: Provide high-quality service and maintain professional relationships; be punctual and flexible for 24/7 shifts.
• Other Responsibilities: Support hospital operations; manage company property; wear PPE as required.
