Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an OR/Sterile Processing Liaison to support the Surgical Services team. This role coordinates instrument processing, communicates across departments, and helps ensure safe, efficient sterile supply for procedures.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a Surgical Technology background, and 3+ years in perioperative or SPD settings, with leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; Surgical Technology Program preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician or Certified Surgical Technician preferred.
• Experience: minimum three years in perioperative, sterile processing or healthcare support; scrub tech or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as liaison between Sterile Processing and Operating Room to ensure instrument support.
• Coordinate decontamination, processing and sterilization of instruments.
• Oversee turnover of instruments for immediate use or terminal sterilization.
• Assist in performance improvement related to surgical instruments and department standards.
• Precept new employees and mentor less experienced staff.
