Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to function as scrub personnel in the operating room and assist under RN supervision. You will prepare cases, maintain sterile fields, and support efficient case turnover for patients from infants to geriatric.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, plus at least one year of CST experience.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist certification.
• High School Diploma or GED; graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Preferred: Associate degree; hospital setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Functions as scrub person in the Operating Rooms and assumes other duties as assigned.
• Monitors sterile field and assists with equipment and patient positioning.
• Contributes to productivity by expediting turnover and reporting supplies.
• Performs routine tasks to improve department efficiency and room cleanliness.
