Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to function in a scrub role in the Operating Rooms and support RN staff. The role includes setting up cases with instrumentation, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting with specimen collection.

Must be certified in Surgical Technology and graduate of a formal program. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced acute care setting is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or certified equivalent.
• Graduate of a formal surgical technology program.
• Certification in Surgical Technology.

• Demonstrates effective time management by completing patient case assignments with appropriate turnover.
• Demonstrates competency and skill proficiency in preparing and assisting with patients undergoing surgical procedures and with specimen collection.
