Job summary

IU Health Fishers is seeking Scrub Nurses to join our Operating Room team. You will prepare the OR, manage instruments, and ensure a safe, sterile environment for each procedure.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year OR experience, RN license in Indiana, and BLS certification. BSN preferred; exceptions considered with acute care experience. Join a compassionate team dedicated to patient safety and excellence.

Qualifications

• 1 year OR experience or more is required.
• Active RN license in Indiana and current BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree not required but BSN preferred; state licensing rules apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and gather necessary equipment.
• Pass surgical instruments to the surgeon during procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and follow infection control protocols.
• Circulate and scrub for procedures as needed.
• Restock and monitor surgical inventory.
• Document procedures per hospital policy.
• Collaborate with charge nurse and surgical team to ensure patient care.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families before and after surgery.
